About

Hi, my name is LaCrisha (Crisha)

To tell you a little bit about myself. I have always had a passion to support moms to be during labor. And told by many I should be a nurse. That’s not what I wanted to do. Because there is a difference, I want to be helping one mom though her journey at a time. I have always felt that no mom should ever go through her pregnancy alone.

I was 15 years old when I had my first child, I have 4 children I gave birth to. I have cared for many children, watching them grow alongside my own. Blood or not they are all my babies, and they all called me *Mama Crisha*. My kids called me mom now my grandbabies call me grandma.

I have been in many deliveries before I became certified. Now that I am I’m so grateful I’m able to help the upcoming new mom to be. There has been so much that change over the years, and things I never knew when I had my children that I could have done. I did not know my options.

That is why I’m here to help you and let you know your options. I will not tell you what to do, I’m not your guardian. I’m not going to give you medical advice, I’m not your doctor or midwife. What I am going to do is mother you. Let you know your options, walk with you, breathe with you, massage your back, get you comfortable and make sure you have an all-around great experience during your time of labor.

Behind every service I provide is the unwavering support of my family—the ones who lift me up, keep me grounded, and remind me why I do this work. Their love fuels my mission, and their belief in me keeps me going.

Mama Crisha Doula isn’t just my dream—it’s a reflection of the village that raised me.

My Husband

He reminds me every day how proud he is of me—for chasing my dream, for believing in myself, and for never giving up. His support is constant, his love unwavering.

He’s not just beside me on this journey… He is my dream come true.

My Kids

When you were younger, you needed us for everything. Now that we’re older, you support us in ways we never imagined. My crazy, beautiful kids—you’ve grown into incredible adults, and I couldn’t be prouder.

To all my kids: I love you deeply, endlessly, and always.

Just some of my extended Family

This is just a portion of my aunts, uncles, and cousins—and we’re still growing. This is the family I was raised with, the ones who’ve always stood by each other. We started out gathering in a small house, and now we need to rent a hall just to hold us all.

We’re a family that works together, supports one another, and constantly reminds us that family is what truly matters.

Support

Supporting my own children while supporting the mothers I serve makes this work even more meaningful. It’s a full-circle moment—where my role as a doula reflects the love and care I’ve poured into my own family.

I get to mother the mother… without being her mother.
